Each month the ILA website will feature a new artist we think you should check out, along with some reasons why. All past featured artists are listed below the current month’s artists.

Teardrop James, a good friend of iloveartists, is a man not only with a passion for photography, but for photographers as well. He is one of the more humble artists I’ve met, investing much of his time learning from, and learning with, other photographers in a bi-weekly Photography Group over the past couple of years.

He sees his place in the creative process not so much as an artist in control, but rather as an artist in exploration. In his bio, he shares,

The cycle of creation from concept to finished product is one of the most valuable experiences I hold. My art is planned, the process is deliberate, but the final product is unpredictable. This variable, the chance involved, is what makes the work exciting for me.

Teardrop James’ excellent, brooding images, combined with his openness to people and a serendipitous creative process, make him an artist to watch in the coming months and years.
